This was a long time ago. I'm Mark Riley. I played guitar and sang with the Sounds of Salvation. This was our first album, made in a little studio in Tyler, TX. The members knew one another from a Christian coffeehouse in Bryan, and formed for a youth revival at Central Baptist where my dad was pastor. The members were students at Texas A&M, except for myself and the drummer Monty Guy. We were in Jr. High. We traveled four years and made three albums. Ben Sample and I wrote original songs. Ben wrote and sang the original songs on this album. Great memories.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12163707332941002216noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6308194661253903089.post-29988546166975075652015-02-19T20:18:43.330-06:002015-02-19T20:18:43.330-06:00I remember this band from the 70's. They played in churches, youth camps, and youth conferences across Texas for several years. Mark Riley played guitar and sang. He was also the son of the pastor at Central Baptist. Ben Sample wrote some of the music on this album. Album also has several covers that we loved in the 70's!TBondBrentonnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6308194661253903089.post-56585413330563238912014-03-10T10:33:12.122-05:002014-03-10T10:33:12.122-05:00Amazing site thank you for this rarity its confusi...Amazing site thank you for this rarity its confusing when there is a similar Sounds of Salvation (SoS) band from UK (Ska style)anyways enjoyed the folk music messiah in indian sitar style keep it up nice uploadlilycarolynhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02458873021395452350noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6308194661253903089.post-13846081624219460182011-06-17T12:36:22.630-05:002011-06-17T12:36:22.630-05:00haha just found your blog....
